**The Role**

The NaaS Automation team is comprised of Spring boot Java, API developers working to support automations for Lumen’s Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) product offerings. As a member of the team, you will be developing business process orchestrations and automated integrations with other quote to cash and Network Activation platforms.

The Senior Lead Software Developer position is a hands-on role that contributes to translating product and design requirements into working, production-ready software and being a supporting leader in the team effort to design, develop, and debug complex software or design and engineer significant enhancements to existing complex software. This Senior Lead Software Developer role will be a key member of the Lumen Digital Development organization.

**Location**

This role is designated as a fully remote position within the United States.

**The Main Responsibilities**

+ Advanced software engineering using modern software languages, frameworks, methodologies, and architectural patterns.

+ Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current trends in software development and cloud-native technologies.

+ Designing and developing enterprise web services in RESTful and GraphQL APIs using the latest design patterns.

+ Maintaining and resolving issues in a highly complex and multi-tiered integration architecture between user interfaces, API proxies, subsystems, and databases.

+ Effectively communicating with dependent application owners, peer dependents, product owners, analysts, and management to resolve issues as needed.

+ Mentoring and guiding others in various technical areas, including business processes implemented in the team's applications and the creation and delivery of designs and solutions in accordance with architectural direction.

+ Engagement in all aspects of the software development life cycle, including requirements review, design, coding, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.

+ Contributing to design and architecture solutions for system integration workflows and order management systems

**What We Look For in a Candidate**

+ 10+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's

+ Significant software development experience with business process management workflow and order management systems.

+ Highly Proficient in Spring Boot java development with a deep understanding of core concepts of microservice-based API, design patterns, and latest integration techniques.

+ Significant engineering experience (Telecom domain would be an added advantage) with a variety of technologies to create and implement software

+ Significant experience with developing and integrating client-server transactions with RESTful and GraphQL services, micro-services patterns, and developing API documentation using OpenAPI specifications and SwaggerHub.

+ Workflow Design: Ability to model complex business processes into efficient workflows using scalable workflow Engines like Temporal.

+ Database Management: Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and SQL querying.

+ Cloud Technologies: Understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP for deployment and scaling.

+ Distributed Systems Understanding: Deep knowledge of distributed system concepts like consistency, fault tolerance, and scaling.

+ Understanding of enterprise databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.

+ Experience with setting up, writing, and debugging automated testing frameworks and suites

+ Knowledge of code versioning tools, CI/CD automation tools such as git, Jenkins

+ Experience with containerization technologies Docker, Kubernetes

**Compensation**

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

$129,639 - $172,852 in these states: AL AR AZ FL GA IA ID IN KS KY LA ME MO MS MT ND NE NM OH OK PA SC SD TN UT VT WI WV WY

$136,121 - $181,494 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI

$142,603 - $190,137 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA
