The City of Chandler Community Services Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Recreation Aide (part-time, temporary, non-benefited) at our Tumbleweed Recreation Center Fitness Floor.This position is at the discretion of the department director. The position requires 3-4 shifts per week, including weekends and weekday evening shifts from 4 pm to 8:15 pm.

Who we are looking for

Our new team members will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. The ideal candidate has an outgoing personality and a positive attitude and can assist in planning and monitoring organized recreation or special event activities at a playground, park, or recreation center, following general instructions from a supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

• Some High School; no experience required; and

• First Aide/CPR Certification, depending on the assignment; or

• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Desired Qualifications

• Ability and desire to work on the fitness floor cleaning and sanitizing equipment.

• Proficiency with technical skills related to tablets and computers.
• CPR/AED First Aide certifications upon hire or within the first 90 days of employment.

The City of Chandler will conduct a pre-employment drug and alcohol test as a condition of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon acceptable results. All applicants hired will be required to be fingerprinted with successful results as a condition of continued employment.
