Design Engineer (Interiors)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Engineer (Interiors) with strong experience in mechanical design for aviation interiors. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of eight years of practical experience in this field, with proficiency in Catia and AutoCad, as well as a solid understanding of regulatory certification rules.

Responsibilities

+ Design built-in structures or fixtures for aircraft interiors, such as monuments, cabinets, partitions, and other interior components.

+ Create and modify mechanical drawings using Catia or AutoCad.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams and departments to ensure design specifications are met.

+ Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory certification rules (FAA, EASA, TCCA).

+ Handle multiple initiatives effectively as a self-starter.

+ Communicate effectively both in writing and interpersonally.

+ Maintain an organized approach to work, with a positive attitude and disposition.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of eight years of practical mechanical design experience in aviation.

+ Proficiency in Catia and AutoCad.

+ Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent with two years of experience in business aircraft interiors design (or eight years of experience without a degree).

+ Working knowledge of FAA, EASA, and TCCA regulatory certification rules.

+ Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

+ Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.

+ Strong organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple initiatives.

+ Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams and departments.

+ General good attitude and disposition.

Work Environment

The work environment includes collaboration with various cross-functional teams, utilizing technologies such as Catia and AutoCad. The role requires proficiency with MS Office tools and adherence to regulatory certification rules. The design engineer must be organized and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a positive attitude

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00
