Ensures assigned crew members and equipment for the specific fire assignments or daily work assignments are in a state of readiness for the assignment or initial attack. Participates in or leads physical fitness programs. May serve as an alternate in other fire program areas such as logistical dispatch, cache warehouse, incident business, and administrative support. Leads less-complex fuels management projects or participates in more complex projects that may include gathering data for monitoring programs and implementing prescribed fire, and mechanical and biological treatments; inventorying fuel beds; and piling vegetation debris. Leads firefighting personnel by directing their activities when suppressing wildland fires or by serving as a situational leader on wildland fires by directing the work of a small crew of firefighters in building firelines, burning out, mopping up, and patrolling firelines. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications This key fire management position is a categorized under the Interagency Fire Program Management (IFPM) Standard as a Senior Firefighter. Prior experience in wild land firefighting is required in order to carry out the duties of this position.     Work Schedule:

    The Field Technician is a full-time position working upwards of 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday, and on a rotating Saturday schedule. We work when the contractors are working, which means some of our jobs start as early as 1:00 AM when concrete is being poured. The daily schedule, sent out the night before- between 5PM-6PM, provides the time of your first inspection the next day. You can expect to drive up to 200 miles a day, in a company-provided truck, as you move between job sites.

    Work Requirements:

    Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision. Lift up to 75 lbs., have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a desire to learn and grow with Arizona’s leading Geotechnical testing and inspection company.
